He will replace Finnur at the end of May 2025, but he will have his first working day in the beginning of April. Ásbjörn brings a wealth of experience, and we are confident that his leadership will help us on our journey towards operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Ásbjörn Ólafur Ásbjörnsson, Graduated in Business Administration from the Bifrost University. His family originates from Svefn – Islands on Breiðarfjörður and he lived for a time in Stykkishólmur where he worked as a fisherman and General manager of HSH. Ásbjörn has over 30 years of experience of running production companies and fishing ships in Iceland as well as in Europe and Chile. Ásbjörn has been in Chile for the past years where he has been doing consulting work after having led a seafood company there with 2 factories and 4 boats.

Ásbjörn worked earlir for Bakkavör and Jökull hf. in Raufarhöfn.
