Iceland participates in the monitoring of nasty substances in nature such as PCBs, DDT and other ecotoxins, as well as drug related substances and the like. An accessible report on the concentration of these substances has recently been published under the hospices of OSPAR. The results are summarized on page 32, but graphs of concentrations as measured in cod and other organisms are found throughout the report. decreasing marine pollution is good news for all of us.
